It is safe to say that without the support of donors and community partners, the King’s University College campus would look much different. Recently, the King’s Foundation team posted large green tags around campus to draw attention to the array of projects and spaces made possible through donations from alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents and friends.
The posting of tags reminds our community of the alumni and friends who believe in, and who continue to help us fulfill our mission through their generous support.
In addition to the physical items across campus, donors fund scholarships, awards, bursaries, and experiential learning opportunities for King’s students each year.
On Tuesday, November 29th join the King’s community in giving back by participating in Giving Tuesday!
In the same way that Black Friday and Cyber Monday kick off the buying season, #GivingTuesday kicks off the giving season. It’s a day to step back from the commercialization and consumerism that comes with the holiday season, and promote doing good for others. It is a day that celebrates our power to make a difference.
There are many ways to participate in Giving Tuesday at King’s!
- Make a Gift: Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference and is appreciated.
- Get Involved: Support King’s with your time – volunteer; mentor; be a real-life hero.
- Show Your Pride: Share why you give your time, talents or philanthropic support to King’s. Challenge others to participate in this national day of giving by using #igivetokings in your social media posts.
