Yeungnam University TaLK exchange student program 2011
Yeungnam University in Korea is one of King’s University College’s partner universities. The Korean government, through Yeungnam University, is recruiting participants for the TaLK exchange student program for the spring semester of 2011. The TaLK program includes:
- Teaching English in after-school classes to elementary school students for nine (9) hours per week during the semester
- Scholarship as a living stipend : 900,000 Korean Won per month, about US $700.00
- One-way trip air fare between Toronto and Incheon Airports
(A return ticket will be provided at the completion of the scholarship term.) - On-campus housing at Yeungnam university
- A English Teaching Volunteer Certificate from the President of Korea

Ryukoku University, founded in 1639 as a Buddhist seminary in the precincts of Nishi-Hongwanji Temple, is one of the oldest and leading institutions of higher education in Japan. Today, with nearly 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students at three campuses (Omiya, Fukakusa, and Seta), Ryukoku University conducts all its education and research activities based on the five pillars of the Buddhist founding philosophy; Equality, Independence, Self-reflection, Gratitude, and Peace.
Exchange students from Ryukoku University are currently studying at King’s University College and King’s students are also welcome to study on Exchange at Ryukoku University.

Exchange Opportunity at Yeungnam University
Yeungnam University (YU) was established on December 16, 1967, in response to the need to cultivate human resources from the community. As one of Korea's leading private institutions, YU has 22,000 undergraduate students, 3,500 graduate students, and 1,000 faculty members and staff with fine facilities and academic organizations. The university museum holds the distinction of being named "Best Cultural Facility" chosen by the Korean Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Yeungnam University is now offering Chunma International Summer School, a four week short-term Korean language and culture programYeungnam University, a partner university of King’s University College, offers study abroad opportunities for King’s students. The application deadline for the Fall Semester is the second week in April. Summer School opportunities are also available.

Sookmyung Women’s University
Sookmyung Women’s University (SMU) welcomes King’s students as exchange students. SMU opens a number of courses in English and will provide scholarship of 1,000,000 Won (equivalent of US $900) to exchange students per a semester from 2010.
There is also another scholarship available for exchange students whose first language is English. Native speakers can work on campus as conversation partners and SMU will provide 10,000 Won (equivalent of US $9) per hour.

Sungkyunkwan University
SKKU 2010 International Summer Semester (ISS) program runs from June 28 to July 23, 2010. Its orientation will be held on June 28. Students are advised to arrive in Korea a few days before the program starts to get acquainted with the new surroundings. 2011 Catholic University of Korea
Global Summer School
King's students are invited to participate in the four week Korean Studies Learning and Culture Experience program offered by The Catholic University of Korea (CUK) for partner schools in Canada, USA, UK and Australia. The program consists of Korean language classes (designed for students who do not have any proficiency in Korean), and a course on Contemporary issues in Korean Society (taught in English).
Both application and program fees are waived. Participants will be responsible for the cost of travel, accommodations, meals and activity fees. The program starts on Monday, July 4 and ends on Friday, July 29, 2011. The application deadline is May 30, 2010.
