Our Mission
The Department of Psychology strives to educate students in the theories, methods, and content areas of psychology while preparing students for graduate work in psychology or careers in related areas. We respect our humanistic roots by aiming to provide a learning environment that values intellectual breadth and creativity. Our faculty maintain active programs of scholarship that contribute to knowledge and provide a context for mentoring students in research.
Our faculty have particular strengths in the areas of social psychology, developmental psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology, forensic psychology, cognition, perception and consciousness studies.
We are pleased to offer King's students several degree options as well as a variety of courses in psychology for students majoring in other disciplines.
