Parenting in a Pandemic: Managing Stress, Anxiety and Burnout
Parenting in the midst of a pandemic can feel daunting. The past few years have been an extremely challenging time to be a parent / guardian, and along with ongoing worry and fear, parents have been faced with shouldering a massive load.
This free zoom seminar will discuss tips for managing stress, anxiety and burnout for parents and guardians of school-aged children and youth. This seminar is facilitated by Emily Carrothers, a registered social worker and the clinical director of the S.A.F.E. program at King’s University College, London Ontario, alongside Bachelors and Masters-level social work interns.
S.A.F.E. stands for Support and Aid to Families Electronically, and offers free virtual individual counselling with social work interns to parents and guardians of Thames Valley District School Board (TVDSB) students. Since January 2021, S.A.F.E. has supported parents and guardians as they navigate the uncertainty of the pandemic.
