J.M.S. Careless History Club welcomed Dr. Robert Jan Van Pelt on February 2nd, 2012

On February 2nd, Waterloo University's Dr. Robert Jan Van Pelt, one of the world's foremost scholars of the Holocaust, spoke to a standing-room only event hosted by the J.M.S. Careless History Club at King’s. Dr. Van Pelt's topic was his recent book on the diary of David Koker, a victim of the Holocaust whose secret diary is one of only a handful to survive the war. Van Pelt’s book is called David Koker's At the Edge of the Abyss: A Young Man's Diary Written in a Concentration Camp, 1943-1944.
