King’s University College is proud to host the Sacred Art: Retrieving the Sacred in New Ways art exhibition. The paintings will be on display on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm and again on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The artist, Brother Emmaus O’Herlihy, O.S.B., of Glenstall Abbey and Artist in Residence at the Dominican Institution of Toronto, will speak to his work and to the importance of “Reviving the Sacred” on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 7:30 pm in the Vitali Lounge Extension at King’s University College. A wine and cheese reception will be held at 7:00 pm prior to the presentation.

This exhibition showcases how postmodernity’s emphasis on challenging traditional categories of perception contextualizes sacred art today. The piece titled Annunciation is composed of two canvases and will enhance the worship space of the parish at King’s University College.

All are welcome to campus to enjoy this exhibition. Parking is available in Lot 1.
