Two King’s psychology students, Kelsey Losenno and Taylor Johnston, exhibited their fourth year thesis research at the Association of Psychological Science Convention (APS) in Chicago. APS is a unique opportunity for undergraduates to represent their research to established professionals, other undergraduates, graduate students, and professors in the psychology field. The King's students were accompanied by Dr. Lynda Hutchinson, professor of psychology at King's, at this convention.

Losenno and Johnston presented their thesis research on the self-regulation of learning in elementary school aged children in the classroom context. Poster presentations offered the opportunity for Losenno and Johnston to present their research data and have substantive discussions with interested colleagues.

APS is an annual international convention bringing together psychological researchers and academics to showcase their innovative research, and latest developments in psychological science. APS was held on May 26 to 29, 2016, with over 4,300 participants who attended the convention.

Psychology at King’s offers students the opportunity to take an honors thesis course. The course allows students to work on independent research under the direction of a faculty member.
