King's, Principal Dr. David Sylvester along with the Vice-Principal of Enrolment Services & Strategic Partnerships Marilyn Mason and the Chair of EBM, Dr. Peter Ibbott visited China from June 20th through July 2nd to meet with faculty, students and administrators of Chinese universities and with King’s alums.

The purpose of the trip was to have Dr. Sylvester, Ms. Mason, and Dr. Ibbott meet with various universities to speak about future partnering agreements, sign new partnership agreements, and visit universities where partnerships have previously been made. The group also hosted King’s alumni events in Shanghai, Chongqing, Beijing, and Dalian. The King’s team spent the duration of the trip with Senior Asia Programs Officer, Sarah Li, who made for a comfortable, and busy, visit in China for Dr. Sylvester, Ms. Mason, and Dr. Ibbott.         

The team visited Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, Dalian Neusoft University of Information, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Chongqing University – Chongqing Technology and Business University, Xianyang Normal University, Northwest University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong - School of Biomedical Sciences, Shanghai University, South China Agricultural University, and Shenzhen University.

The King's team also enjoyed a visit with Dr. Paul Werstine at BUCT. Dr. Werstine was a guest professor teaching a course on Shakespeare to the students.
